What led you to believe in Oneness?...

Neale Donald Walsh invited us to have our own conversation with God and I asked this: "All these beliefs work well for someone who lives in Denver, CO, USA but what about all the children of the world that seem to be born just to die of starvation?" and God said, "The understanding of Oneness is sooo critical to humankind that until you get that you are the ones allowing that to happen to all of you, it will continue to be."

If life is an Earth School (Gary Zukav) and being in 5th grade doesn't make you any better than being in 1st grade, you are just in 5th grade, what grade are you in?...

Briefly describe your journey to this point...

I started learning what Spirituality was just 20 years ago, altho I had always had a strong faith and loved being Episcopalian. I started going to Mile Hi and my understanding of God has expanded tremendously as I found to be true what I had always known in my heart. My absolutely favorite think is personal growth and believe that expanding our awareness of what is already out there is what life is really all about.

Describe your Formal Education...

Computer Science major, database programmer for 30 years, did software training and web editor for the last 10 years. Met my husband on Matchmaker.com. 2nd life - I attended a "Divine Purpose Journey" weekend about 14 years ago and got that my divine purpose was to "Find a way to have compassion for and help heal (reveal) perpetrators because until we do, we will just continue to treat victims of abuse. Perpetrators are just victims one generation removed". Based to my 1st life, my reaction to this purpose was "WHAT!! I had heard a statistic that 95% of people who were in prisons and were prostitutes had been abused as children and thought that is a huge social ill and the social cost of not finding a solution is incalculable. BUT WHAT CAN I DO? So following my heart, I found a Self-Esteem, Conflict Resolution and Parenting presentation that felt right to me and became a certified trainer in them. Reinventing myself was the most fun I have ever had. I also have an "adopted" family in my presence that has given me ample opportunity to experience the pain of abuse second hand. Then I had to go back to work in computers for a few years and wondered what that was all about. Barbara has taken away all excuses for not fulfilling my purpose, too old now, too busy... so I keep following my heart knowing that Divine Right Timing and Divine Right Action are in play and all I have to do is get up every morning and say "Yes" to the Universe.

And if you can source your own life from its presence. I want to know if you can live with failure, yours and mine and still stand at the edge of the lake and shout to the silver of the full moon, “Yes.” It doesn’t interest me to know where you live or how much money you have. I want to know if you can get up after the night of grief and despair, weary and bruised to the bone and do what needs to be done to feed the children. It doesn’t interest me who you know or how you came to be here. I want to know if you will stand in the centre of the fire with me and not shrink back. It doesn’t interest me where or what or with whom you have studied. I want to know what sustains you from the inside when all else falls away. I want to know if you can be alone with yourself and if you truly like the company you keep in the empty moments."
