Association for Global New Thought

VISION

“To consciously bring forth the evolving human and an awakened world through the practice of universal spiritual principles and the energy of unconditional love.

MISSION

The goal of the Association for Global New Thought’s programs in spiritually guided activism is to support concerned and informed citizens in their emerging role as ethically motivated community leaders.
Spiritually guided activism is a term pioneered by the Association for Global New Thought and like-minded organizations to describe individuals who are spiritually mature and believe that, from this worldview, we need to take action in our communities to create positive change in this nation and beyond.

PRINCIPLES & VALUES

New Thought is a spiritually motivated way of life that embraces the ancient wisdom traditions of east and west. We embody the belief that consciousness is infinitely creative, operating through thought to shape the manifestation of our reality. Our principles reflect a universal conviction that the community of all life is sacred; our practices of meditation and healing prayer enhance a worldview promoting reverence for, and service to humanity and planet earth. New Thought is committed to global healing through personal transformation, community-building, interfaith, intercultural, and interdisciplinary understanding, and compassionate activism.

  • The Gandhi King Season for Nonviolence (SNV) commences for the 18th consecutive year on January 30, 2015 in cities across the globe. The annual 64 day campaign, co-founded in 1998 by Dr. Arun Gandhi and The Association for Global New Thought (AGNT), is an educational, media and grassroots awareness campaign spanning the January 30th and April 4th memorial anniversaries of Mahatma Gandhi and Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

The purpose of the campaign is to focus educational and media attention on the philosophy of attaining peace through nonviolent action as demonstrated by legendary leaders Mohandas K. Gandhi, Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr., Cesar E. Chavez, and President Nelson Mandela, as well as living legends such as His Holiness, Tenzin Gyatso, the 14th Dalai Lama of Tibet.

Spiritually guided citizen leaders in 900 cities in 67 countries have participated since the campaign began in 1998.

  • 3068475?profile=RESIZE_1024x1024The first ever Awakened World Film Festival is a "spirit-spun" celebration of the emerging opportunities of our times. Something Good is trying to happen!

Film, at its best, seduces us with a New Story of what can be ours. This Film Festival is our chance to come together and see the films, live in the messages, and meet the people at the cutting edge--the actors and renowned teachers who are in the films, and the artists who produce them. Over four nights and three days, attendees will be treated to evening “Galas” in one of Santa Barbara’s landmark theaters, and design their own daytime film/workshop schedule.

This is a film festival woven into a working conference in which YOU play a key role
The Association for Global New Thought's 2014 Awakened World Conference Retreat is so much more than an enlightened festival of films. Every full morning and afternoon program will bring you face-to-face with masterful spiritual and social leaders in dialogue with the media mentors of our times. Onstage at each evening "Gala" will be musicians, awards, and inspirational voices  that have become the trademark of the New Thought movement.
